Forterra develops autonomous ground-vehicle technology for defense and government. In that environment, procurement traceability, fixed-asset accuracy, and vendor information are not administrative preferences—they are operational controls.

Test requirements had to travel with purchases to flagged vendors, fixed assets had to remain accurate through department changes, and Accounts Payable needed complete vendor information before payment activity began. Reminder emails and manual follow-up were not dependable controls.
02 · What we delivered
Built around the operating reality.
- Built SuiteScript and SuiteFlow enforcement that stops purchase-order creation for flagged vendors until the buyer acknowledges that engineering test requirements are attached.
- Converted a memory-dependent procurement step into a system-enforced control with a traceable, compliant path.
- Ran depreciation, fixed-asset transfers, and department changes through NetSuite Fixed Assets Management, including inactive-department edge cases.
- Resolved individual depreciation and transfer errors instead of allowing exceptions to accumulate in the asset ledger.
- Reworked vendor-onboarding output so AP-critical payment fields are mandatory before the vendor file reaches Accounts Payable.
03 · Outcome
The compliant path became the default system behavior.
Procurement, asset accounting, and vendor onboarding now carry stronger controls at the point where work happens. Buyers cannot silently skip the traceability step, asset history remains intact through organizational changes, and AP receives more complete vendor data up front.
