The Fence Shop—TFS Direct—serves UK trade and retail customers through a commerce operation built around trade accounts, quoting, returns, ERP, CRM, payments, and specialized shipping. When Magento 1 reached end of life, the business needed a supported platform without losing those workflows.

A simple visual rebuild would not be enough. Existing quote and return history, ERP behavior, custom options and pricing, payment and shipping logic, content, CRM connections, and operational data all had to reach Magento 2 intact. After launch, the platform also needed dependable improvement within a practical monthly budget.
02 · What we delivered
Built around the operating reality.
- Replatformed the storefront from Magento 1 to Magento 2 and migrated live data plus the records maintained by custom modules.
- Carried the Boost My Shop embedded ERP workflow into the supported platform and preserved existing Request-a-Quote and RMA history.
- Rebuilt specialized pricing and options with MageWorx and assembled the content experience with Porto, Magezon, SEO tooling, product attachments, and the WordPress blog.
- Integrated SagePay, table-rate shipping, Pipedrive, live chat, Trustpilot, cookie compliance, and performance improvements.
- Created a custom Feefo review widget and implemented GA4 and dataLayer commerce tracking across checkout and order confirmation.
- Extended the relationship to the associated underfloor-heating storefront and delivered ongoing maintenance through an honestly scoped monthly retainer.
- Resolved a production Place Order button failure the same day, protecting the most important conversion action on the site.

TFS Direct moved away from end-of-life Magento 1 without sacrificing the workflows its trade and retail teams depend on. The ongoing relationship keeps enhancement work incremental, transparent, and affordable while giving the business a responsive engineering partner for production issues.
